DIY Movie Transfer System - Telecine Copy Super 8mm Film or Slides to Digital or Video DVD

My family has a lot of old super 8 movies laying around which we have never watched. I wanted to have them digitalized so that we can enjoy them. I did some researching before I found this "box", ordered it and it came within a few days. I brought it home for Christmas and it was amazingly simple. My dad was very skeptical to start with but in no time we had the movies transferred to my computer and I uploaded them to the internet so the whole family can watch. I used my digital camera with video function as I do not have a cam corder but the quality turned out great. It is easy to set it up and takes little effort or technical knowledge. Just adjust the camera so it captures the frame correctly and hit 'record'. That simple! I only converted super 8 movies but next time I go home I will try it with slides and old pictures.

This arrived in very good conditon and it has worked just like it is supposed to. I have transferred my super 8 movies using my digital camera and they look great. It came with a template which I used and everything lined up perfect. It is nice that the whole process could be accomplished on a card table.

Panavue 2 Illuminated Slide Viewer

We had a box full of old family photos that were all on slides. Some dated back to the 1950's. We looked everywhere to purchase a viewer so we could make a selection for CD's to be made but could not locate anything, even at the camera shops. This viewer is perfect. Its small but does the job! Now we can pass out to all the family their own copy of these precious memories.

Definitely worth the price. The Pana-Vue #2 does exactly what it is suppose to do. Easy viewing with clear picture on the screen. I ordered the extra bulb and power adapter but so far I have not needed to use them. I have already viewed around 1,000 slides on the first set of batteries. This product works exactly as described even better. I am viewing five to six thousand slides to prepare them to be transferred to DVD's for easier and more enjoyable future family viewing.
